Boards & Regulators: Tracking the Program
The board approved a transformation program against a QR Score of 46 (Improve). Four quarters later it reads 84 (Optimize). The year of daily data in between is the program review, and the same record serves as evidence for any regulator or auditor examining the period. (Full data: Security Transformation.)

What the board reads
Section titled “What the board reads”The gains track the work. Recovery quick wins in Q1, foundations in Q2, re-architecture in Q3, operationalized recovery in Q4: each phase shows up in the pillars it touched. Device Health holds flat; it was never the problem. The security budget bought measurable resilience, and the pillar breakdown shows where.
The dip is the credibility. The drop to 59 during the segmentation cutover, recovering when the work lands, is a score responding to the environment rather than to attestations. Real change introduces transient risk. A score that dips during re-architecture is telling the truth, which is why the board can trust the climb.
The mature state is balanced. All four pillars in the 80s means no fragile dimension hiding behind a strong composite, and no surprise waiting in a dimension the average smoothed away. The work now is sustaining it, not finishing it.
What the regulator reads
Section titled “What the regulator reads”Evidence, dated. Scores are calculated daily and persisted with complete history, so posture on any examined date is a lookup, not a reconstruction. An examiner asking “what was your resilience posture on October 20th?” gets 59, the two affected pillars, and the recovery that followed.
Continuous, not annual. Operational resilience expectations increasingly favor ongoing evidence over point-in-time attestations. A daily series covering the full period, including the dip, carries more weight than a clean annual snapshot precisely because it documents the uncomfortable moments.
Auditable methodology. The score is built to actuarial standards: measurable inputs, reproducible calculations, and a documented methodology. The examiner reads the same rubric as everyone else.
Making it routine
Section titled “Making it routine”Quarterly board reporting becomes a pull, not a project: Building a Complete Report composes the current score, breakdown, and trajectory into one artifact. A public trust page extends the same artifact to customers, insurers, and prospects, and a regulator can be issued a scoped credential to verify directly (see Authentication).
