Security Transformation
A new security leader inherits a new environment. The hygiene dashboards are green: the fleet is patched, the endpoint tooling is deployed. Yet the QR Score reads 46 (Improve). Over the next four quarters, a transformation program anchored on core business processes takes the organization to 84 (Optimize).
This is the docs’ canonical example. This page holds the year of data; the use cases in this section each read it from a different seat. Every seat reads the same number. What differs is the question each brings to it.
The year in data
Section titled “The year in data”The full /trend?days=365 response carries a point for every scored day. Selected dates from the series:
| scoreDate | score | Phase |
|---|---|---|
| 2025-03-19 | 46 | Inherited baseline |
| 2025-04-30 | 49 | Q1: assess and stabilize |
| 2025-06-15 | 54 | Recovery quick wins land |
| 2025-08-01 | 58 | Q2: design and foundations |
| 2025-09-15 | 62 | Foundations in place |
| 2025-10-20 | 59 | Q3: re-architecture cutover (dip) |
| 2025-11-30 | 68 | Segmentation complete |
| 2026-01-05 | 72 | Q4: operationalize recovery |
| 2026-02-15 | 78 | Recovery drills validated |
| 2026-03-18 | 84 | Matured to Optimize |
The pillars underneath
Section titled “The pillars underneath”The composite tells you that things changed; the pillar breakdown tells you what changed:
| Pillar | Baseline 2025-03-19 |
Foundations 2025-09-15 |
Cutover dip 2025-10-20 |
Sustained 2026-03-18 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Structural Integrity | 36 | 58 | 52 | 84 |
| Failure Resistance | 38 | 56 | 50 | 82 |
| Device Health | 74 | 76 | 76 | 86 |
| Recovery Capability | 36 | 58 | 58 | 84 |
| Composite | 46 | 62 | 59 | 84 |
Note the shape of the baseline: Device Health at 74 against a composite of 46. A well-patched fleet, graded green by hygiene tools and outside-in raters, connected by an architecture full of single points of failure, with recovery that had never been tested. Device Health stays roughly flat all year; it was never the problem. The gains come from the structural and recovery pillars.
